Welcome to Dignity for Humanity. This website is dedicated to the world’s people, regardless of country, ethnic group, gender, sexual orientation, race, age, or status as citizens, refugees, immigrants (both documented and undocumented). Although people differ in their characteristics, this site argues that all people are due basic dignity and rights as human beings. It provides historical examples of people being denied dignity, philosophical reflections on the right to dignity, the voices of resistance that have erupted when dignity was denied, and explorations of both contemporary challenges and possible paths forward to recognition of dignity, especially for marginalized peoples.
